Heading Down the 101
Saturday, December 4th, 2010I’ve been in the northern states now for at least five months, it’s now time to head south for the winter…with the birds. I’m working my way down the 101, from the Olympic Peninsula area in Washington state, down the Oregon, the California coast. There are a number of stretches I’ve not done before, so I’m really looking forward to it. Check out the “Road Diary” for updates…
10-30-10 Update
Saturday, October 30th, 2010I’ve spent the better part of a couple months in the Pacific Northwest, touring the Seattle, Vancouver B.C. and Olympic Peninsula areas. I’ve had a spectacular time! For the most part the weather has been pretty cooperative, which has enabled me to get some decent video and pictures. I’ve also had the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends, and, have met some great new folks along the way.
Early next week I’ll be heading back to Montana (Bozeman) for a spell, to spend quality time with one of my best friends and his family. During my stay I plan on doing a few side trips and bring you additional coverage from the great state of Montana. I’m hoping to see snow while I’m there, perhaps do some sledding if there isn’t enough for skiing.
After Montana, my tentative plans are to make my way down the 101 (Pacific Coast Hwy), there are several stretches that I’ve never done and am really looking forward to it. One stop that is high on the agenda is the Hurst Castle, which is a couple hours north of Santa Monica. As I work my way south I plan to spend a week or so with my sister in north county San Diego.
These plans of course are “tentative” because I never know where Mike’s Road Trip might take me. Stay tuned for future updates. Thank you all so much for your support! We’ll see ya on the road…

Heading to Victoria
Thursday, August 26th, 2010In a couple of days I’ll be heading to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for a few days. Can’t wait, it’s been a number of years since I was last there. I’m planning on going to Butchart Gardens for the famous firework show and will be staying in a charming B&B called the, Beaconsfield Inn.
