Made it to Indonesia

After 27 hours of travel, I finally made it to Jakarta, Indonesia. I flew from Phoenix to San Diego where I had a five hour layover, which wasn’t too bad since I got to spend a few hours with my sister Susanne. I then boarded a flight to Tokyo, Japan and had just enough time to make my connecting flight to Jakarta. I arrived after midnight local time and took a hotel van to Swiss-Belhotel where I’ve been staying the past couple of nights.

The purpose of my trip to Indonesia is a FAM (familiarization trip), traveling around the country with many other travel bloggers and inflencers. I’ve never been on a FAM this large, about 27 in all. It will be interesting to see how we all get along, there is typically at least one diva on these trips.

The first couple of days here I haven’t done much other than get acclimated to the time change and jet lag. Tonight is the welcome dinner, so I’m excited to meet everyone whom I’ll be traveling with over then next couple of weeks. I actually know a few people on this trip, but this is the first time we’ve done a trip together. Click here to read about my first few days in Indonesia.
