| Description: | Mount Rainier is the most heavily glaciated peak in the lower 48 states. The summit is over 14,000 feet and topped by two volcanic craters. On clear days Mt. Rainier dominates the southeastern horizon in most of the Seattle Metro area. On days of exceptional clarity, it can also be seen from as far away as Portland, Oregon and Victoria,B.C. These pics are of my recent backpacking trip with my cousin Nick. |
