The Hines Mansion Bed and Breakfast located in the heart of Provo, UT is one of the most enchanting historic B&B’s I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying.  This 115-year old mansion has ten uniquely appointed rooms, the one I stayed in was called, “The Lodge” and is rumored to have once played host to Butch Cassidy.

Upon my arrival I was treated to a cold bottle of sparkling pear cider along with freshly baked cookies…which was such a nice touch.  I also experienced the lovely scent of freshly cut roses, which I noticed in several locations in the parlor.

The Hines Mansion is believed to have been designed by Utah architect Richard Karl August Kletting, who also designed the Utah State Capitol building. According to historic records, the Mansion was built as a showplace during Provo’s recovery from a major boom-and-bust period in the area’s early economic history.

In addition to the lovely accommodations, you’ll be treated to a first-class breakfast fit enough for mansion nobility.  During my stay I enjoyed whole wheat pecan pancakes, yogurt, fresh fruit, bacon and juice & coffee.
