This week; “Red Rock Country”

This week, I’m spending a week in “Red Rock Country,” otherwise known as…Sedona. Sedona is one of the premier destinations in the country, with its majestic red rock setting, luxury lodging, great dining, world-class art scene, to its wonderful outdoor activities.

Have you ever been to Sedona? If so, what is your favorite thing to do?

  1. Any hiking in Red Rock country is amazing, but as a Sedona local, my favorites would be down by the creek at Red Rock crossing and hiking the gorgeous Baldwin Trail that takes you to Oak Creek. Make sure you check out Jerome, AZ for a day trip. The Verde Canyon Rail Road (based in Clarkdale is a really good experience for the whole family – spring for the sight upgrade charge and go for the first class car – well worth it!) – a 4hr ride on a historic rail/train back in time at least a century thru the wilderness – just spectacular. Montezuma’s Well is a neat natural, aquifer with ancient ruins of cliff dwells along the inter walls, and down at the base. Those just some of my top 10…so many favorites…. so little time! Enjoy your visit!
