A stroll along the boardwalk in Steveston

I made it to Vancouver yesterday, drove up from West Seattle.  Last night I took a lovely stroll along a boardwalk in the community of Steveston, a suburb of Vancouver, near and/or in Richmond proper.  I walked to this wonderful peninsula called, Gary Point Park to watch the sun set over Vancouver Island.

Garry Point Park has some amazing views of the Fraser River and Gulf Islands. From virtually anywhere in the park you can enjoy sweeping views, sunsets, watch commercial fishing head in, enjoy the wildlife including shore birds and tons of jumping salmon (boy it would have been great to have had a pole, you cannot believe how many fish were jumping).
