2011 Alki Beach 5k Run

While the area was socked-in with fog, it was still a great morning for a competitive run.  Alki Beach in West Seattle was the host for the August 28, 2011 Alki Beach 5k Run to benefit the Northwest Hope and Healing Foundation.  More than 1000 people showed up, with hundreds participating in the 5k race and fun run.

The winners of the race were:

  • Brett Winegar in the male category, coming in just under 16 minutes
  • Kelsey Lenzie for the females…this was an impressive race for Kelsey as she is only 10 years old…coming in at: 20:48
