Heading to Bloomington, MN for TBEX 2016
A year after launching Mike’s Road Trip I attended my very first travel conference in Vancouver, Canada for the 
I left that conference with jubilation and inspiration and actually feel the same today every time I attend a travel conference.
In the past six years that I’ve been travel blogging, the industry has evolved a great deal, from how content is created and disseminated, to how destinations and brands market themselves and work with influencers like me. It’s been a few years since my last TBEX in Toronto in 2013, so not only am I overdue, I’m very much looking forward to seeing many familiar faces. As someone who has been in the industry for more than six years now, I’m proud to say that I am one of the old folks out there. When I started it seemed like there were only a few hundred of us, now there are thousands of travel bloggers all over the world, many of whom produce some outstanding content on their epic adventures.
