In search of “the ONE thing” in San Diego

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been working on Mike’s Road Trip 2.0 stuff, as well as enjoying my visit here in Carlsbad, CA with my sister. This week  my good friend and frequent traveling companion, Miss Rhonda, will be joining me. Rhonda has never been to San Diego, so I’m really looking forward to showing her around.  Since I’ll be playing tour guide, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do a video showcasing “the ONE thing” format that you’ll see more of in the feature.

We’re going to have a blast visiting places like Cabrillo NP, Sea World, Gas Lamp District, Sea Port Village, Old Town, Coronado Island, San Diego Harbor cruise and a whole lot more.  If you have any suggestions, please post a comment below.  Thanks!

  1. Hi Mike!! I’m a good friend of Rhonda’s and she is so excited about her trip to San Diego. San Diego is one of my favorite Cities in the USA! Please ensure the two of you go to Coyote Cafe in Old Town, they have great Margaritas and the food is muy bueno!!! It has a great atmosphere especially if you can sit on the balcony.

Your blog is great and I will be sharing it with many of my friends that are road trippers!

Have a great week with Rhonda……..and make sure you write about the Lamplight District as it is one area I have not been to!

    Keep smiling!!!

    1. Hi Kathryn…thanks so much for stopping by! I’ve lived in San Diego a couple of times, so I look forward to being a good tour guide. I actually lived near within walking distance to Gaslamp the last time I lived here. Yeah, Old Town in on the agenda. Anyhow, thanks again for stopping by and sharing my site with your friends. Cheers, Mike!
