Snow-filled day in Flagstaff

My Flagstaff thrills continued today as I headed east of town to the Mormon Lake Lodge where I went on a snowmobiling tour. There are miles of pristine back-country trails to explore and I had a blast checking them out.

My next stop was to the Hitchin’ Post Stables where I took a horse-drawn sleigh ride with about 20 other folks into the hills. We stopped about half way through the trip to sip hot coco near a bonfire in the middle of an ol’ western campsite. There were a number of wagons, tents and other artifacts to give guests a feel of the ol’ west.

My last activity of the day was a trip to the Jay Lively Activity Center where I donned a pair of blades for some ice skating. It had been a long while since I last ice skated, but it was like riding a bike. I’m not the best skater, but I just did have a whole lot of fun getting back in the swing of it.

Tomorrow is my last day in Flagstaff, I’ll be heading back to the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix) where I’ll spend Christmas with family and friends.
